BUSLOC Feature I: Communications

BUSLOC has recognized that communicating with Parents is an important function of the District Transportation Staff regarding the various aspects of the daily transportation of the kids to school in the mornings and back home in the afternoons.

Communication with Parents is one of the several features available in BUSLOC for the Transportation Staff. Transportation Staff can send unlimited number of messages (or notifications) to Parents. The messages are delivered to the Parents through BUSLOC Parents App.

Transportation Staff can send messages to Parents regarding bus delays, cancellations, bell time changes, route changes, stop changes, newly assigned drivers, schedule updates etc. Messages can be sent to

(1) all Parents in the School
(2) Parents on a specific route.
(3) Parents scheduled on a routestop
(4) Parents on AM routes
(5) Parents on PM routes.

(A future release of the Parents App will include the functionality for the Staff to directly communicate with one Parent.) To receive messages, Parents need to have access to the BUSLOC Parents App on their mobile devices and have been given access to the App by the Transportation Staff.

Transportation Staff can also communicate to Parents about the student safety procedures during the bus ride, bus and stop safety rules, and on any issues to enhance the safety of the kids during the bus ride.

There is no limit on the number of messages that the Transportation Staff can send on a daily or weekly or monthly basis.
