COVID-19 Checks in BUSLOC — Part Three: Transportation Staff Dashboard

Part One and Part Two of this series outlined the functionality in the BUSLOC apps to help facilitate the COVID-19 checks. This part three briefly outlines the functionality in the Dashboard tool (on a PC or laptop) available for the Transportation Staff. Initially developed to integrate with the School District’s Routing (if the District uses one) and the GPS softwares, the Dashboard (or Control Panel) module in BUSLOC, allows the Transportation Staff to track the COVID-19 checks and generate reports to satisfy ANY health policy requirements. A brief functional description of the BUSLOC Dashboard is presented below. As with the Mobile Apps, the system is branded and customized for the School District and like the Apps, the Dashboard is FREE with no charge.

Current Schedules — access a list of scheduled bus routes with a live view of the bus status for each route, start and end times, bus stops, and vehicle info

COVID-19 Data — access student and staff daily health attestations/checks and take any action as needed by the health/school authorities

Send Notifications—broadcast notifications to every one on the route or send one-on-one messages to students/parents

Manage Schedules — cancel or delay the bus on a route; this automatically broadcasts message to the students/parents on the route

In addition, the Control Panel allows the Transportation Staff to maintain information on schools, route stops, students on each route stop, vehicles, and to access the historical data.
